Summary
The use of custom-created apps, neuropsychological testing, and clinical assessments will be evaluated as tools for determining the appropriateness of PACU discharge to home.

Inclusion Criteria: * The individuals will be identified from the operating room (OR) schedule and approached in the pre-operative area (or earlier, when possible). * Adult patients (18 years or older) listed for surgery and a planned 23-hour admission will be eligible for enrollment in this study. * Subjects must be fluent in English and not have confounding sensory or neurological limitations to participation Exclusion Criteria: * Members of vulnerable populations or adults unable to consent will be included in this study. * Subjects that do not speak English * Subjects with neurological…
Interventions
- Diagnostic Testcustom-created apps, neuropsychological testing, and clinical assessments
This study's interventions will include a brief neuropsychological assessment, including pre-operative baseline and post-operative repeat assessment. Additional assessments of memory and coordination using two custom apps and standard clinical assessments will also be conducted at each timepoint
