Description
Primary Objectives Objective 1: To compare the impact of timely SPC referral and enhanced usual care (i.e., selective referral) on the proportion of participants with an outpatient SPC consultation at (a) 12 weeks (primary outcome) and (b) 24 weeks post-initial screening.

Eligibility Criteria * Age ≥ 18 * Outpatients who are within 12 weeks of diagnosis of metastatic solid tumors and seen by one of the participating medical oncologists * Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group Performance Status 0.2 * Able to speak English or Spanish Exclusion Criteria: . Cognitive impairment in the opinion of the oncologist necessitating need for a surrogate decision making. • Previously seen by SPC team at UT MD Anderson
