Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
This is a prospective, observational, multi-center cohort study of pediatric cardiac arrests. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the physiologic response to epinephrine as an outcome discriminator in pediatric in-hospital cardiac arrest (IHCA). In addition, the investigators will determine optimal epinephrine dosing strategies based on the initial physiologic response to epinephrine, and to develop machine learning (ML) algorithms to guide intra-arrest therapy.
Inclusion Criteria: * Arrest in an ICU * Patients received chest compressions for at least 1 minute Exclusion Criteria: * Lack of commitment to aggressive therapies (e.g., CPR performed as part of end-of-life care) * Brain death determination prior to CPR * Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest was the reason for initial admission to the hospital (known poor outcomes) * Supported by Veno-Arterial Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation at the start of CPR
